Boone County Eighteen33 12 Year Review

Welcome to the review of Boone County Eighteen33. We've written about Boone County previously on our Bourbon Trail Series. This is our first experience reviewing a Boone County product so we're excited to get started. The interesting thing about this bourbon is that they outsourced the product to fill the gap between when their house-made bourbon will be ready. The Eighteen33 is an homage to when the first Boone County Distilling company was founded. The rumor is that they will run out of this bourbon before their bourbon is ready to hit the shelves. This was confirmed during the tour so if this is in your wheelhouse, stock up while you can.

With that said, let's get started with the specifications.

A Short Trip Through the Bourbon Trail - Boone County Craft Distillery

Welcome to the last stop in our 'A Short Trip Through the Bourbon Trail' series. This post covers our time at the Boone County Craft Distillery. To view the entire series and follow along, click here.

After eating an amazing lunch at The Stave, we were off to our final Distillery. This is our first time visiting any of the Distilleries on the Craft Bourbon Trail so we were really excited. We picked Boone County because we had tried their bourbon cream but didn't know much else about them. Additionally, the location was perfect because it was just off I-75 in Northern Kentucky, so it was right on our way home.

Wednesday Bourbon & Whiskey Quick Hits - May 8

Welcome to the latest installment of our Bourbon and Whiskey Quick Hits. This is our roundup of bourbon and whiskey news that are important, but aren't big enough to warrant an article on their own.

  • Sugarfina Creates Caffeinated and Boozy Gummy Bears - Sugarfina has announced the creation of caffeinated Cold Brew Bears®, which are made with real coffee and have 60mg caffeine per serving (equivalent to one shot of espresso)... for those looking for more than coffee buzz, and would prefer a real buzz, they created the Bourbon Cold Brew Bears®, which they say...

"Add a splash of real bourbon for those who need a little something extra to get through their day"

So we'll just get this out of the way.... if you need gummy bears infused with bourbon to get through the day, please get help. However, these do make a fun gift. The gummies are non-alcoholic and go for $8.50 for a small candy cube and $45.00 for a 2.5lb bag.

Columbus Bourbon Q&A - Part 4

It's been a long time since I did one of these, but welcome to the fourth edition of the Columbusbourbon.com Q&A. If you missed the previous editions, it was mostly people asking if I have any Blanton's to sell. You can check them out here:

As always, the submitted questions will have a name with them. General questions will not.
