Bourbon & Whiskey Meetup in Columbus - October 9th!

Calling all bourbon and whiskey lovers in Ohio! Some friends of the site are starting a whiskey club. All are welcome and the initial information is below. This is a great event if you are new to bourbon or a seasoned vet. If you are interested or have any questions or suggestions, drop a note to eric@columbusbourbon.com.

The idea is to meet, taste some whiskey, meet new friends and have some fun. We have been delayed starting as our original location we were going to meet unexpectedly closed but in that happening I think we ended up with a better place. The Buckeye Bourbon House (BBH - 36 E Gay St, Columbus, OH 43215) has agreed to host our meetings. They seem to be very accommodating.

Bulleit 12 Year Rye

Welcome to the review for Bulleit 12 Year Rye.

If you haven't heard, Bulleit has been in the news for some negative reasons that include allegations of discrimination, sexual, and physical abuse assault against an LGBT member of the Bulleit family by the family patriarch. It has escalated to the point that parent company Diagio has removed the figurehead from representing the brand.

The news on Bulleit is very disturbing and if you have ethical concerns over supporting companies based on their behavior, this is something to keep in mind. I'm not going to let the news influence the review, but rather if I buy Bulleit in the future.

As always, I'll get started with the specifications.
