Buffalo Trace Announces Weller Full Proof Bourbon

Buffalo Trace has announced a new offering in the form of Well Full Proof Bourbon coming in at a whopping 114 proof. The name is based on the way that Buffalo Trace Distillery fills their wheated bourbon barrels at 114 proof.

The Ohio Division of Liquor Control has announced the availability of four selections from Maker’s Mark beginning at 9am on Friday, April 5th at selected agencies across the state. The four selections are ‘The Great 88 Select’, ‘Capital City Select’, ‘Queen City Select’, and ‘North Coast Select’.

Michter's Announces US*1 Barrel Strength Rye Coming in April

Michter's has announced a new product called US*1 Barrel Strength Rye. This new rye comes in at 110.8 proof and retailing for a suggested price of $75 for a 750ml bottle. The product will start showing up on the shelves this April.

After eating an amazing lunch at The Stave, we were off to our final Distillery. This is our first time visiting any of the Distilleries on the Craft Bourbon Trail so we were really excited. We picked Boone County because we had tried their bourbon cream but didn't know much else about them. Additionally, the location was perfect because it was just off I-75 in Northern Kentucky, so it was right on our way home.

Glenlivet Releases 50 Year Old Single Malt for a Mere $25,000 Per Bottle

While we normally focus on Bourbon and US Whiskey, we do like the crazy high end news that we'll never be a part of. In the spirit of that, The Glenlivet has announced the third installment of The Glenlivet Winchester Collection in the form of a $25,000 edition of single malt in handcrafted bottle and case designed in partnership with British designer Bethan Gray.

Ohio Division of Liquor Control Announces Dumbest Lottery So Far - Double Eagle Very Rare & O.F.C. (1993 Vintage)

In what is a new bar set for ridiculous raffles, the Ohio Division of Liquor Control has announced a lottery for two bottles of Double Eagle Very Rare and six bottles of O.F.C. (1993 Vintage). The Double Eagle Very Rare is being sold for $2000 per bottle + tax. The O.F.C. comes in at an even more staggering $2499.98 + tax... which begs the question.... why not just make it an even $2500?
