Blade and Bow Announces 2022 Release of 22-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Blade and Bow has announced a 2022 release of the 22 year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey coming to select states (sadly... not Ohio) and the Stitzel-Weller Distillery.

Doug Kragel, Lead Educator for Blade and Bow states:
An ultra-premium bourbon, Blade and Bow 22-Year-Old is complex and enticing. I liken 22-Year-Old's tasting notes to a freshly baked apple pie, fragrant and delicious. With an aroma layered with oak, caramel, and fresh stone fruit, this highly acclaimed bourbon is sweet and smoky, accented with well-balanced tasting notes of torched sugar and apples baked in honey and spices.
This is an annual release each September (National Bourbon Heritage Month). No tasting notes or MSRP was provided.

My Take

It sucks this isn't going to be available in Ohio, even if it was most likely a lottery. Chalk it up to everything being controlled by The State and the barriers to entry for bourbons to be available in Ohio. The Blade and Bow 22 is selling for upwards of $1300 online so if you see this at retail elsewhere, use that as a starting point.
