Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) Announces 21 Barrels of Elijah Craig

The Ohio Division of Liquor Control (OHLQ) has announced the availability of 21 barrels of Elijah Craig bottles beginning this week.

Unlike previous releases, the State is not announcing the locations where this will be available ahead of time... presumably to avoid gatherings and crowds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to track down a bottle, you'll need to head to this page and see if any stores in your area were allocated any bottles.

This is a 94 proof (47% alcohol) bottle and carries a price of $28.99. The description is:
Elijah Craig is credited as the 'Father of Bourbon.' Each batch carries a signature warm spice and subtle smoke flavor.
My Take

It's a bit insane that we need to have special releases for regular Elijah Craig, but that's the world we're living in... especially with our ridiculous State laws where the Government gets to decide supply and demand.

If you're an Elijah Craig fan (I rated it a 71.5/100), this is for you. My recommendation is to always call the store before heading out because the State's inventory system is a mess.
