Beam Suntory Releases Fourth Chapter Of Little Book Whiskey Series Titled "Lessons Honored"

Beam Suntory Inc. has announced the release of the 4th chapter of the Little Book whiskey series titled "Lessons Honored." The Little Book series is created by eighth generation Beam distiller Freddie Noe and is an annual, limited-release. This year's release is in honor of his father, Fred Noe.

Freddie Noe states:

This year's release is an ode to my dad and the lessons he has passed down to me about bourbon and life, all of which I hope to pass down to my own children. A lot of them go back to honesty and integrity. He taught me to be true to myself, which is something that's very important in our family, and to know when to slow down and be patient. Dad's values carry over into our whiskey brands, and I'm proud to honor him with this special blend.

This release is a blend of three whiskeys... a 4-year-old Kentucky Straight Brown Rice Bourbon, an 8-year-old Kentucky Straight "high rye" Rye Whiskey, and a 7-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It comes in at a whopping 122.8 proof (61.4% alcohol) and has an MSRP of $124.99 for a 750ml bottle. The tasting notes from the manufacturer are:

Full-bodied brown sugar, rich charred wood and dried cherries. The finish is soft and decadent, leaving a warm caramel taste on your tongue, followed by a spicy finish.

My Take

This is the first Little Book release is showing up on the State website as being available in Ohio, which is good news. At press time, there currently isn't any availability throughout Ohio. This is a release made for collectors. Expect this availability be incredibly limited so if you see this and you are interested, you'll want to buy immediately.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
