Ohio Liquor Control Announces 1792 Full Proof Barrel Release

The Ohio Department of Commerce - Division of Liquor Control has announced the release of 1792 Full Proof Barrel bottles.

The State has partnered with Master Distiller Danny Kahn on a Barrel Selection available at five locations beginning on March 8 at 9am. The locations selected are:
Minotti's Avon Wine & Liquor
25925 Detroit Rd. Unit 101, Avon
Springboro Spirits
748 Gardner Rd., Springboro
Joseph's Beverage Center
4129 Talmadge Rd., Toledo
Twinsburg Beverage
9224 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg
The Hills Market
7860 Olentangy River Rd., Worthington
Each location will receive 144 bottles, on average and they will be sold for $45.99 + tax.

These are nothing more than a store pick that are common throughout almost every other state. For instance, I was in Kentucky last month and the Liquor Barn had an entire shelf of single barrel store picks (picture below).

In our opinion, this is another example of the state suppressing supply and demand and isn't worth the effort to stand in line or wake up early to score a bottle. To read more about our ridiculous liquor policies and what can be done about it, we have you covered here!
